EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Before beginning a real estate career, I built a strong foundation in business, leadership, and client relations. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Technical Management, which gave valuable insight into how organizations operate, how marketing connects people to products, and how exceptional service builds trust - skills I draw on every day in real estate.
My career began in eCommerce Customer Experience with Hello Innovation, where I led a team of agents and collaborated with vendors and software developers to improve digital products and create a more seamless customer journey.
I later transitioned into Office Management at Fun Services, a family-owned company that partners with local schools for fundraisers and coordinates corporate events that bring communities together. That experience strengthened my appreciation for local engagement, organization, and the dedication it takes to run a successful small business.
In 2020, I began a new chapter with Brooke MacNee, Grosse Ile’s all-time #1 selling agent and top 1% nationwide. Working alongside Brooke as her assistant at MBA Realty gave me hands-on experience in every part of the real estate process - from client consultations and negotiations to marketing and transaction management.
Soon after, I earned my Michigan real estate license and began helping clients of my own. Between the transactions I’ve assisted Brooke with and my independent sales, I’ve helped bring more than 150 properties and over $57 million in real estate to the closing table. From vacant lots and single-family homes to luxury waterfront estates - I’ve been fortunate to work with them all.
Building on that foundation, I launched Moving Downriver - a brand created to modernize the real estate experience. What began as a simple idea to improve how buyers and sellers connect with their agent has evolved into a full platform centered around technology, transparency, and community. Through Moving Downriver, I aim to make real estate approachable, informative, and deeply local - whether that’s through digital tools or authentic connections with the people who call this area home.
Looking ahead, my vision is to see Moving Downriver grow beyond a real estate brand and become a trusted community resource. A place where residents, small businesses, and future homeowners can find guidance, support, and inspiration for life in the Downriver area.

PERSONAL LIFE
I’ve always called Downriver home. Over the years, I’ve made many moves and lived in several of the Downriver communities: Taylor, Southgate (Class of 04), Lincoln Park, Gibraltar, and now Grosse Ile. Each one leaving its mark and shaping how I see home and community. Those moves taught me early on that where you live is about much more than a house; it’s about the memories, milestones, and sense of belonging that come with it.
In 2007, I met my husband, Eric Ruzsa, and life took on a new rhythm. Together, we’ve built a life rooted in love, stability, and shared dreams. Today, we call Grosse Ile home, where we’ve found the perfect blend of island tranquility and strong community spirit.
Our daughter, Anna, is a proud member of the Grosse Ile Middle School Band, and her passion for music inspired me to become a regular supporter of the Grosse Ile Music Boosters program. I've committed a portion of my income from each home sale to help fund music education, instruments, and student experiences that strengthen our community’s creative heart. Supporting this organization has become a rewarding part of what I do. It’s a way to give back to the same community that continues to give so much to my family. Of course, our home wouldn’t be complete without Bruce, our lovable (and allergy-prone) Scott American Bulldog, and Luna, our curious cat who thinks she runs the place. They keep us on our toes and remind us that home is truly where life’s best moments happen... whether it’s a quiet night in or a full house of family, friends, and pets.
My Downriver roots and personal journey toward creating stability, love, and financial freedom through homeownership are what drive my passion to help others achieve the same. It's what taught me that resilience, growth, and belief in your own potential can transform not just where you live, but how you live.
